Brand information: vans
vans is one of the founding fathers when it comes to skate footwear. already in 1966 vans made the sk8hi. the very first skateshoe ever. it became a huge success, although the start was a bit bumpy to say the least. on the first day of the release founder jim van doren only had the exhibit shoes in his store and had to turn away 12 customers that wanted to buy the shoe. for them he manufactured extra custom made shoes later. but after these start problems vans developed into one of the most popular streetwear brands ever and has not looked back. the new designs and high quality materials made a lot of friends – even beyond the halfpipe. the vans classic slip-on made of canvas is still one of the most successful shoe designs ever to hit the streets.
